Mientras los españoles se recuperan de la sorpresa que supuso la legalización del Partido Comunista, Adolfo Suárez anuncia que se presenta a las elecciones del 15 de junio con la Unión del Centro Democrático, una coalición de partidos que incluye a la Democracia Cristiana. Antonio está cada día más ilusionado con su incursión en política, y más aún ahora que Ochotorena le confirma que irán a las elecciones con la UCD. La campaña es dura y todos los militantes tienen que poner de su parte, por eso Ernesto le pide a Antonio que imprima en la imprenta los carteles y panfletos que repartirán entre los votantes. Por otro lado, Antonio se entera por casualidad de que Toni tiene problemas con un cliente que les debe dinero e intentará solucionar el asunto a su manera. Problemas de la imprenta a parte, Mercedes y Antonio acuden al estreno de una obra de Arturo junto con Miguel y Paquita, Valentina y Pili.
