Durante aquella primavera de 1984, asistimos a varios milagros en San Genaro. Como la irresistible ascensión del bistrot, que recibe visitas de famosos nacionales e incluso algún internacional, como la de un director de cine holandés. Gracias a él Antonio consigue el primer contacto europeo interesado en su vino, pero el hecho de que Antonio no hable inglés puede ser un obstáculo para que el negocio prospere.
Mercedes, por su parte, se siente desborda con la bodega, y más aún desde que han instalado el despacho en casa. Merche está muy nerviosa, por eso cuando Antonio recibe una carta de Hacienda, intenta ocultársela a toda costa. Lo mismo hace Carlos cuando descubre que un hongo ha atacado las vinas. Decide actuar cuanto antes, sin decírselo a su padre, para salvar la cosecha.
