Herminia. El legado
Verano de 2001. Los Alcántara se preparan para asistir a la boda de María que se casa con Jorge en Sagrillas. El momento de celebración se ve empañado por una drástica decisión que toma Herminia y que afecta a toda la familia. Antonio acompaña a Herminia al médico y allí les informan que, en los últimos análisis, aparecen alterados algunos parámetros. Herminia le pide a Antonio que no cuente nada a su hija para no preocuparla. Mientras, Mercedes está inmersa en los ajustes del vestido de novia de María. Está muy ilusionada con la boda aunque le hubiera gustado que hubieran podido juntarse todos. Por su parte, María está muy nerviosa. Tiene un mal presentimiento y es que las bodas de sus hermanos siempre han acabado saliendo mal. Para la boda, Tony y Deborah se quedan en el Parador de Tobarra y es que la inglesa no quiere pasar estos días con todos los Alcántara. A Inés tampoco le apetece la boda; después de su ruptura con Mike está muy centrada en su hijo y cerrada al amor.
