Will Batuga succumb to the bowstring from which he escaped as a child? Despite all the insistence of Temur and Saltuk, Batuga refuses to escape alone. Batuga will not leave Akkız locked in the dungeon behind, they will either live together or die together. Also, Batuga has to see if his father will choose Khaganate or paternity this time. Even hopeful, Batuga's and Akkız's hopes end in disappointment. Although they made a very successful defense during the trial, Alpagu Khan once again chooses tradition rather than his son.
