Manuel cannot forgive María for having hidden her doubts about future paternity from him and leaves to solve the other conflict, that of his disputed lands that Claudia claims. Guillermo tries to approach Custodio, but he rejects him with contempt. but at night, and without a word, she throws herself into William's arms. Manuel goes to Madrid in search of a lawyer and a job in case he loses the property. He reminds Mary that she must continue to pay her debt. Luisa arrives to visit and her airs of an actress revolutionize the town. Claudia, without evidence, loses her trial as heir and decides to leave.
