While passing through her hometown of Port-Clément to settle her parents' estate, Erica Faure, a crime novelist, discovers the body of her childhood friend, Alexandra, with her veins cut in her bathtub. Convinced that her friend's death hides something much more sinister, she begins her own investigation, the findings of which intersect with those of police captain Patrick Saab. Together, they embark on a quest for truth, where the wounds of the present awaken the dark secrets of the past.
