A kayaker saves a girl from drowning, but he is brutally killed with his own paddle. When bruises are discovered on the body of the little girl, now in a coma, it becomes clear that she was the real target. Erica, still fragile after the birth of her daughter, immediately gets involved when she learns that the child is a friend of Emma, her niece. Back from parental leave, Patrick Saab took charge of the police investigation. Together, they embark on a race against time to find out who may have wanted to harm little Pauline.
