Le 23 juin 2018, douze enfants accompagnés de leur coach de foot partent explorer une grotte dans les montagnes Thaïlandaises. Mais rapidement, des pluies diluviennes inondent la cavité dans laquelle ils se trouvent. Pris au piège, les enfants se réfugient dans une bulle d'air, sur un minuscule rocher, enfoncés à près de 4 km de la sortie. À l'extérieur de la grotte, le monde entier retient son souffle alors que les opérations de sauvetage se mettent en place...
