Commissioner Nikolas Heldt dives into the world of legends in Bochum: Professor Thalberg, retired narrative researcher and director of a local history museum, helps him with all kinds of things worth knowing. The nightly attack on a young student in the forest poses a mystery to the investigators. The victim describes the perpetrator as a ghostly apparition. During the last months there have also been several uncanny and mysterious incidents in the city. Could it be that these are legendary legendary figures of the Ruhr area? Chief Inspector Detlev Grün, in contrast to Heldt and his colleague Mario Korthals, considers this to be a complete nonsense.
