In the run-up to the wedding, Máxima discovers that life at court demands more of her than she had anticipated. Her need for independence clashes with the strict royal protocols. Whilst 11 September turns the world upside down, Máxima gets to know her in-laws better. During the grand wedding, the absence of her own family brings a tear to her eye.
