La révolution américaine : la liberté au prix du sang
La révolution française, on voit généralement assez bien ce dont il s’agit, mais la révolution américaine, c'est souvent beaucoup plus flou ! Pourtant, la révolution américaine est une innovation majeure : c'est la première guerre réussie de libération d’une colonie contre sa métropole. Elle débouche sur une constitution longtemps tenue pour exemplaire et qui est toujours en vigueur actuellement. Elle sert enfin de modèle, d’inspiration pour les autres mouvements révolutionnaires à l’image de la révolution française. Une révolution que les colons américains ont faite pour revendiquer leur droit au bonheur. Et c’est donc cette quête du bonheur que nous allons parcourir ensemble aujourd’hui !
