L’Histoire a parfois un sacré sens de l’humour, y compris avec ceux qui l’écrivent. Par exemple, quand le savant grec Archimède plonge dans son bain, il prend conscience de sa masse volumique, une découverte super importante. Il s'écrie "Eurêka !" - “j’ai trouvé !” - mais il bondit, glisse sur son savon, se cogne la tête et se noie dans sa baignoire… Bon en réalité, ou plutôt, dans la légende, Archimède s’en est tiré : il est même allé courir à poil partout dans les rues de Syracuse pour annoncer sa découverte. Mais imaginez : ça aurait pu avoir lieu. Il aurait pu mourir pile poil au moment de faire une découverte fondamentale. En tout cas historiquement, c’est ce qui est arrivé à pas mal d’inventeurs… morts de leurs inventions !
