Les monstres ont-ils existé ? Ce que dit la science

Au contraire de ce que l'on pourrait croire, science et mythologie sont bien liés, et c'est ce dont je vous parle aujourd'hui !

On dit parfois que les contraires s’attirent, et ça c’est très vrai, même quand on parle de trucs aussi opposés que… la science et la mythologie ! Eh ouais, c’est dur à croire, mais il y a bien un lien ! Dans l’Antiquité, les croyances relevaient parfois du bon gros nanar péplum : il y avait des gens convaincus que les monstres mythologiques existaient pour de vrai. Et si on a perdu cette croyance désormais, c’est en grande partie grâce à la science, qui a rangé ces histoires dans la catégorie des légendes et des mythes. Et pourtant, promis juré, science et mythologie ne sont pas hermétiques l’une à l’autre ! On va voir quelques situations où l’une a inspiré l’autre, et inversement !
