The American Girl
Else is put in charge of a young girl suffering from abdominal pain and looks on in envy, as the girl is showered with gifts from an American soldier. So when an opportunity presents itself, she helps herself to the spoils. Dr. Friis' parents come for a visit, but leave both Dr. Friis and Lis feeling hurt. The Matron is in love with Klaus, but since he is still a patient, they can't spend any time together.
