The National Homes Swindle: A Growing Scandal

In March 2006, Panorama investigated how sick and elderly people are compelled unlawfully to sell their homes to pay for NHS care.

The film prompted the biggest viewer response Panorama has ever had with 1,700 emails and 3,000 phone calls. A number of those who wrote to Panorama were selected by the production team and are featured in this new programme.
