Jonathan Hoffman est un jeune garçon de 17 ans. Ses parents ont décidé de déménager dans un autre État des États-Unis mais il est très malheureux d’être séparé de ses amis. Il prend alors la décision, avec sa famille, de partir vivre chez sa grand-mère qui est restée vivre proche de sa ville natale.
