Penny Bell était une chef d’entreprise de 43 ans vivant en Angleterre avec son mari et ses deux enfants. Elle avait une vie de rêve, elle était très appréciée par la communauté mais malheureusement un beau jour tout va basculer. Une après midi de l’année 1991, deux femmes vont surprendre Penny en train de faire une sieste à l’intérieur de sa voiture. La situation ne les a pas plus que ça préoccupée mais en repassant par-là plus tard dans la journée, elles vont réaliser que cette femme dans la voiture n’était peut-être pas simplement en train de dormir, la vérité était que la station était bien plus grave.
