Christine Slinger était une jeune femme de 27ans, mère de deux enfants à la vie très instable. Elle tentait de se débrouiller comme elle le pouvait mais sa vie n’était pas facile, la garde de sa fille venait de lui être retiré pour être placée chez son père et Christine faisait alors tout pour aller la voir le plus souvent possible. Malheureusement, un jour, lors de l’une de ses visites elle va totalement disparaitre sans laisser de trace et quelques jours plus tard, le père de sa fille sera lui aussi retrouvé mort.
