Auf einem großen Güterbahnhof werden von unbekannten Tätern aus den Waggons hochwertige Waren geraubt. Oberleutnant Hübner überprüft gemeinsam mit einem Kollegen von der Transportpolizei die Situation auf dem Bahnhof und stellt fest, dass die Täter sich gut auf dem Gelände auskennen und unter den Mitarbeitern zu suchen sein müssen. Wachtmeister Subras erhält den Auftrag, verdeckt zu ermitteln. In der Feierabendkneipe stößt er auf Manfred Petzold, der gerade von der Armee zurückgekehrt ist und seinen Einstand feiert. Manfred hat Streit mit seinem Vater, der den Bahnhof leitet und nicht möchte, dass er auf dem Bahnhof weiter arbeitet. Sein Freund Spinner und seine Freundin Susanne hätten schlechten Einfluss auf ihn.
