Der Fund
Bei Ausgrabungen an der Ostseeküste wird ein Satz kostbarer Münzen aus dem 18. Jahrhundert gefunden. Eine Archäologin bringt Oberleutnant Zimmermann auf die richtige Spur. Die Münzen waren vor fünf Jahren in einem Hügelgrab zusammen mit einem Skelett entdeckt worden und dann unter ungeklärten Umständen verschwunden. Das Alter des Skeletts wurde damals nicht untersucht, weil der Fund archäologisch uninteressant schien. Zimmermann ordnet die Wiederaufnahme der Untersuchungen an. Die Ergebnisse bestätigen seinen Verdacht. Der Mann, dessen Skelett man gefunden hatte, war vor wenigen Jahren unter grausigen Umständen ermordet worden. Der Kripo gelingt es, den Toten zu identifizieren und den Mörder zu überführen.
