Das Team von Polizeioberkommissarin Elisabeth Eyckhoff soll ein Unternehmen überwachen, das im Verdacht steht, illegalen Insiderhandel an der Börse zu betreiben. Doch die Versuchung, aus dem Abgehörten selbst Profit zu schlagen, ist zu groß für Eyckhoffs Kollegen. Zuerst scheint der Gewinn enorm, aber bevor die Polizisten ihre Aktien gewinnbringend abstoßen können, wird der Handel ausgesetzt. Es besteht die Gefahr, dass sie ihr gesamtes Geld verloren haben, zudem schöpft die Börsenaufsichtsbehörde Verdacht.
Im Rahmen einer internen Ermittlung soll ausgerechnet Eyckhoff gegen die Kollegen ermitteln.
