Paddy crawls through the air conditioning and finds Bea and Joan in isolation; Erica is rescued by firemen. Mouse and Barbara's bodies are recovered from the fire. Chrissie blames herself, unaware Margo was to blame. Paddy gets Bea and Joan to the roof to safety but Bea accidentally knocks Joan off a ladder and she is stretchered out unconscious. The remaining inmates are taken to Woodridge. In hospital, Paddy learns her release has come through and she goes to live in the halfway house. Meanwhile, Bea is less than pleased to learn that Joan has survived. The women moan about the poor conditions at Woodridge. Maxine prepares a romantic meal for Tony but he is held up by Sara's problems and she falls asleep.
