José Inocêncio is not satisfied with João Pedro’s decision. Mariana confronts José Inocêncio and assures her that she doesn't like João Pedro enough to betray her husband. Damião remembers the service that was ordered from him. Egídio is scared when Tião Galinha says that he killed two men who approached Joana.
