José Inocêncio sends Inácia to sleep in the room that belonged to his children, and tells Mariana that Ritinha's mother will live with them. Mariana calls Bento and Venâncio and tells them that José Inocêncio wants them to return to the farm. Padre Santo celebrates the wedding of Ritinha and Damião, without the presence of Inácia. On Chico's deathbed, Damião promises not to let anyone kill José Inocêncio.
