Kuba musi nauczyć się na pamięć Inwokacji. Jest zniechęcony, ponieważ nie interesuje go poezja. Ludwik, chcąc zachęcić syna do nauki, sam recytuje Mickiewicza. Tłumaczy przy tym, że nauka wierszy na pamięć to doskonały trening pamięci. Kuba wciąż nie jest przekonany. Znacznie bardziej niż poezja interesuje go uczestnictwo w kursie chińskiego. Przekonuję matkę, że jest to język przyszłości, który już niedługo wyprze angielski. Natalia próbuje zrozumieć nagłe zainteresowanie syna kulturą azjatycką. Szybko wychodzi na jaw, że owo zainteresowanie jest ściśle powiązane z córką nowych sąsiadów o azjatyckich rysach.
Kuba uczy Natalię obsługi telewizora. Boska, choć słucha uważnie, nie może spamiętać kolejności używania dwóch pilotów od telewizora i DVD. Przed synem gra jednak wyjątkowo pojętną uczennicę. Sprawa skomplikuje się, gdy Kuba idzie do kolegi, a Natalia zostaje sama z pilotami.
