Der Chefarzt einer Klinik wird nachts vor die U-Bahn gestoßen. Dr. Matthies, der den Anschlag schwer verletzt überlebt, liegt seither im Koma als Patient auf seiner eigenen Station. Von ihm sind vorerst keine sachdienlichen Hinweise zu erwarten. Auf dem Mitschnitt der Videoüberwachung ist allerdings eine blonde Frau zu sehen. Ist sie die Täterin? Die SOKO Köln macht sich auf die Suche nach der Unbekannten - und trifft im Umfeld des Arztes fast überall auf Blondinen. Nur seine Gattin ist brünett - und wollte just einen Tag vor dem Sturz ihres Mannes endlich wissen, wie weit dessen Schwäche für Blondinen geht. Deshalb hat sie eine Treuetesterin engagiert. Ob die hinter dem U-Bahn-Sturz steckt? Als Alexandras Befragung der Testerin ergebnislos verläuft, gibt Carla sich als Franks Ehefrau aus und setzt das blonde Gift auf ihn an. Obwohl der geheimnisvolle Täter sich alles andere als ungeschickt angestellt hat, kommt ihm die SOKO Köln schließlich auf die Spur. Doch die Zeit eilt, denn der Täter plant, sich des einzigen Zeugen zu entledigen, der ihn zweifelsfrei identifizieren könnte.
