Eine junge Frau wird tot in einem Kölner Park gefunden. Todesursache war ein Schlag mit einem festen Gegenstand auf den Hinterkopf. Eine Bankquittung in der Manteltasche identifiziert die Tote als Galeristin Lotte Beyer. Als die SOKO in der Galerie, die gerade eine große Niefenegger-Ausstellung vorbereitet, eintrifft, erlebt sie eine Überraschung: Lotte Beyer ist sehr lebendig und gleicht der Ermordeten aufs Haar. Die Tote muss Lottes Zwillingsschwester Marie sein, die ebenfalls, aber weit weniger erfolgreich, als Kunsthistorikerin gearbeitet hat. Nun stellt sich der SOKO natürlich die Frage, ob der Täter wirklich Marie und nicht eventuell Lotte umbringen wollte. Immerhin hatte sich Marie an diesem Tag in der Bank als Lotte ausgegeben und Geld abgehoben.
