Während sich der Event-Caterer Jörg Sebring im Bett mit seiner jungen Bekannten Anja Frank vergnügt, fällt ein Schuss. Die Frau ist sofort tot. Wurde ihr das Verlangen zum Verhängnis? Die SOKO-Beamten um Nina Jacobs nehmen die Ermittlungen auf. Schnell stellt sich heraus, dass der Anschlag Sebring galt. Wie kam es zu der Verwechslung und wer steckt dahinter? Es wird komplizierter als erwartet, als kurz darauf eine weitere Leiche gefunden wird. In einem Park wird Eva Mey erschossen aufgefunden. Die junge Frau hinterlässt einen verzweifelten Mann und eine kleine Tochter. Die Ermittlungen ergeben, dass sie sich mit ihrem Mörder getroffen hat. Aber warum? Weder im einen noch im anderen Fall lässt sich zunächst ein Tatmotiv finden. Die SOKO-Beamten tappen im Dunkeln. Bis sie herausfinden, dass Jörg Sebring in finanziellen Schwierigkeiten steckte und Eva Mey erpresst wurde. Als sich dann noch herausstellt, dass Eva Mey vor ihrem Tod in Sebrings Wohnung war, wird klar, dass der Mordanschlag auf Jörg Sebring und der Mord an Eva Mey miteinander zu tun haben.
