Regina Wild wird tot in ihrer Reinigung gefunden. Erst am Abend zuvor hatte sie das 25-jährige Bestehen ihres Geschäfts gefeiert, was der Vermieterin Franka Fromme ein Dorn im Auge war.
Als herauskommt, dass Franka in der Tatnacht in der Reinigung war, um dort zu sabotieren, steht sie unter Tatverdacht. Aber auch die Nachbarin Mathilda Hirsch macht sich verdächtig. Sie hat ihrem Lebensgefährten und Regina eine Affäre unterstellt.
Die Ermittler geraten unter Druck, als dann auch noch das Nachbarsmädchen Sazan Reinike verschwindet. Ihre Mutter, die seit dem Tod ihres Mannes vor drei Jahren wenig Zeit für Sazan hat, ist in großer Sorge um ihr Kind. Die SOKO findet heraus, dass Sazan auf der Flucht vor dem Kleinkriminellen Paul Rauhe ist, der sein Diebesgut erst in Reginas und dann in Sazans Besitz vermutet.
