Am Ufer der Elster wird der abgetrennte Kopf eines jungen Mädchens gefunden. Als Tom die Tote erkennt, macht er sich schwere Vorwürfe. Denn ein paar Tage zuvor hatte seine Bekannte Tanja Hamann ihn gebeten, bei der Suche nach ihrer Tochter Lucy zu helfen. Wie alle anderen glaubte auch Tom, dass die für ihre frivolen Clips im Netz bekannte Lucy nur abgetaucht war. Doch nun ist sie tot. Zunächst gerät der Journalist Jochen Hanerka unter Verdacht, der ihr Potential als Internetstar entdeckte und mit ihr sogar ein Buch herausbringen wollte. Doch Hanerka hat ein Alibi. Das SOKO-Team nimmt also Lucys Liebhaber unter die Lupe. Insbesondere Bauleiter Gerd Bahlke hat ein starkes Motiv, schließlich hatte Lucy ihn nicht nur im Netz als schlechten Liebhaber verspottet, sondern auch eine Affäre mit seinem Bautischler Danilo angekündigt. Dieser ist verschwunden, und Bahlke, der eine Affäre mit Lucy abstreitet, hat keine Beweise für seine Unschuld. Dann taucht Lucys Videotagebuch auf, und der Fall erfährt eine unerwartete Wendung.
