In einem Waldstück bei Leipzig wird eine alte Fliegerbombe gefunden und direkt daneben die Leiche einer jungen Frau. Es stellt sich heraus, dass genau diese Frau wenige Tage zuvor von Prof. Rossi und einer Gruppe Studenten um Fabian Weller und Justus Gritz obduziert worden war. Doch wer wurde dann im Krematorium verbrannt und beigesetzt? Sabine Rossi kann sich nicht erklären, wie es zu einer solchen Verwechslung kommen konnte. Sie befürchtet, dass es sich bei der vertauschten Toten um ihre plötzlich verschwundene Putzkraft Olga Blum handeln könnte. Deren krankhaft eifersüchtiger Mann hatte ihr schon öfter nach der Arbeit aufgelauert. Kriminalhauptkommissarin Dagmar Schnee dagegen ist sich ziemlich sicher, dass der Täter aus den Reihen der Rechtsmedizin kommen muss.
