Oberkommissar Jan Maybach ist im Stress: Seine Tochter Lotte muss ins Krankenhaus, und Sohn Benni braucht dringend Hilfe bei der Wohnungsrenovierung. Wie gut, dass sich der Mordfall, zu dem der SOKO-Kommissar gerufen wird, so schnell und einfach aufklären lässt. Ein Zeuge beobachtet Daniel Rohrbach bei der Leiche von Mandy Krömer. Die Sozialpädagogin fiel im Park einer Behinderteneinrichtung einem Sexualmord zum Opfer. Alles deutet auf eine Täterschaft des an einer Intelligenzminderung leidenden Daniel Rohrbach hin. Für Jan Maybach ist der Fall klar. Er setzt den Tatverdächtigen in der Vernehmung so lange unter Druck, bis der den Mord gesteht. Hajo Trautzschke zweifelt das schnelle Geständnis jedoch an und wirft Jan vor, den Hauptverdächtigen manipuliert zu haben. Er fordert eine Überführung mit "sauberen Ermittlungsmethoden".
