Die Leipziger Ermittler werden zu einem Autounfall gerufen. Die Insassin des Wagens, Sandra Völkers, steht unter Drogen. Sie ist unverletzt, aber auf ihrer Kleidung befindet sich fremdes Blut. Ina Zimmermann und Jan Maybach sind alarmiert, und tatsächlich finden sie die Leiche der Kinder- und Jugendpsychologin Lydia Behrens in dem Haus, das sie vor kurzem von Sandra Völkers gekauft hat. Sandra Völkers ist vorerst nicht vernehmungsfähig. Während der Spurensuche am Tatort entdeckt Ina plötzlich ein junges Mädchen, das davon läuft. Die Verfolgung führt die Kommissarin auf den landwirtschaftlichen Hof der Familie von Ingrid Leweritz. Dort erfährt sie, dass das Mädchen Anna eine sehr intensive Beziehung zu der Psychologin pflegte.
