Hidden behind garbage containers, the body of 34-year-old Jason Plenske is found. He was beaten to death with a blunt object only a few hours ago. Until recently, the victim worked as a doorman on a biotech campus, but he had too many unexcused absences. When he also failed to notice the theft of an expensive laboratory device, he had to be dismissed for good. His sister Marina Plenske sees the blame on everyone else, except her brother. This "doctor" alone is to blame: Dr. Baris Esen, chief developer on the BioTech campus. He had reported the theft and pointed out the missing Plenske. There was then an argument between the two. Werner finds a high concentration of an opioid in the victim's blood, which indicates an advanced dependence. But a doctor would never have prescribed him such high amounts.
