Three days have passed since the Season 2026 finale of Amixem landed on October 11, and fans are still talking about it. If you watched it, you know the ending wasn't a big cliffhanger. It felt more like the closing chapter of a very good year. For anyone who hasn't joined yet, here's the short version. Amixem is the YouTube series from Maxime Chabroud, a French creator born in Lyon in 1991 who built his career in Angers. Since 2012 the channel has piled up 15 seasons and nearly a thousand episodes. Its own description promises travel, experiments, discoveries, humour (sometimes), LeBonCoin (often) and Amazon (often too). It's a channel so hard to sum up that its creator admits he can't even finish the sentence.
The 2026 season set its tone early. The premiere, "On ouvre 10 valises perdues !", went back to a classic Amixem idea: open mystery boxes and see what comes out. Opening lost luggage works because every suitcase carries a stranger's story, and the crew is very good at mixing jokes with real curiosity. It also brought back the people who make the show feel like a family sitcom. Étienne Moustache, Yvan Casta and comedian Thomas Deseur first joined through the famous #EmbaucheMoiAmixem hiring campaign, and years later they are as important to the series as any character in a scripted ensemble.
The season got bigger fast. In Episode 2, Maxime and Yvan spent 24 hours on a container ship. It's the kind of immersive, slightly crazy challenge that shows how far the channel has come since its gaming days. Episode 3 tried the opposite approach. Étienne and Yvan tested luxury versions of everyday tech, and the gap between their reactions and the absurd price tags gave us some of the season's best laughs. Then came the big one. Episode 4 took Maxime and Thomas to Las Vegas for season 2 of MrBeast's Beast Games, which is now on Prime Video. Amixem was the French-speaking face of a global event, and the behind-the-scenes episode framed it as the most intense shoot of his life. It was a clear sign that this "series" now operates at the scale of international TV.
