Eaux usées : ça déborde de partout

In France, sewage networks are saturated and overflow, causing serious consequences for the environment and the population. As a result, dirty water spills at the foot of houses, beaches and rivers are closed to swimming because of fecal bacteria or cyanobacteria. Elsewhere, fish die in streams and oysters become contaminated by a virus that makes them unsafe to eat. Some municipalities have launched massive renovation projects to improve the situation, which raises water bills.
