Baptiste Lacroix, a well-known truffler in the region, vanishes in the middle of his oak plantation. Impressive event difficult to assume by his family that has already been hit by a tragedy: the accident in which Julie was paraplegic. At that time, Julie and her partner had settled down on their parents' farm and thanks to her affection, she had managed to recompose herself and focus on the cultivation of truffles. The autopsy reveals that the victim died from a brain injury. Investigators discover that the place of death is not really the scene of the crime.
