Die Rummelplatz-Wahrsagerin Madame Silvia prophezeit Hauptmeister Klipp vom Einbruchsdezernat Aufregungen in allernächster Zukunft. Sie lassen nicht lange auf sich warten: Wenig später wird in einem Wagen der Geisterbahn deren Geschäftsführer Otto Foerster erschossen aufgefunden. Klipp führt die ersten Ermittlungen so umsichtig, daß Kommissar Konrad von der Mordkommission ihn weiter in dem komplizierten Fall einsetzt. Einen Mord aufzuklären, das hatte sich Kripo-Mann Klipp immer gewünscht.
