Ein alter Mann, der allein in einer einsam stehenden, halb verfallenen Villa haust, wird ermordet aufgefunden, offensichtlich war ein Jugendlicher der Täter, der den alten Mann sogar mißhandelt hat, um das Versteck etwaiger Ersparnisse herauszubekommen. Letzteres gibt der junge Mann sogar zu, nur mit dem Mord will er nichts zu tun haben. Dem Verdächtigen gelingt die Flucht aus dem Polizeigewahrsam, und je mehr die Polizisten davon überzeugt sind, daß er an dem Mord tatsächlich unschuldig ist, je tiefer verstrickt sich der verletzt Fliehende in Schwierigkeiten.
