Wieder einmal falscher Alarm für die Leipziger Kripo. Die Teile einer angeblichen Frauenleiche im Container entpuppen sich als Prothese. Keine halbe Stunde später gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe dann doch eine Tote. Ein junges Mädchen wurde in ihrem Elternhaus erschlagen und ist eine Treppe hinuntergestürzt. Das Fatale an dem Fall ist, dass Hauptkommissar Kain das Mädchen eben noch auf der Straße gesehen hatte. Sie war in einen Streit mit ihrem Freund verwickelt und von ihm gewaltsam zurück ins Haus gedrängt worden. Obwohl er eine Routineüberprüfung veranlasst hatte, macht sich Kain große Vorwürfe, nicht selbst eingegriffen zu haben. Er findet den offensichtlichen Täter als Martin Kubelka in einer Datei des BKA. Die Speichel-Analyse stimmt mit seinen Werten überein. Für Kain ist der Fall aufgeklärt. Ohne die Sperma-Analyse abzuwarten, erwirkt er bei der Staatsanwältin einen Haftbefehl. Doch am nächsten Tag ist Kubelka wieder auf freiem Fuß - aufgrund mangelnder Beweise.
