Eisner - 10 - Tod unter der Orgel
Moritz Eisners erster Auftrag als Mitglied einer neuen Sonderkommission des Innenministeriums, die kriminologische Spezialaufgaben in ganz Österreich übernimmt, führt ihn in das Kloster Arndorf nach Kärnten. Dort findet ein internationaler Orgelwettbewerb statt, bei dem ein ganz besonderes Jurymitglied Personenschutz bekommen soll. Bei dem Ehrengast handelt es sich um den österreichischen Bischof Hawranek, der sich seit vielen Jahren für die Menschenrechte in Brasilien einsetzt und auf den bereits mehrere Attentate verübt wurden. Als sich die Ankunft des Bischofs, der den Wettbewerb eröffnen sollte, verzögert, springt der junge Organist Nikolaus Kutil ein. Doch das fulminante Eröffnungskonzert endet in einer Katastrophe: Eine Orgelpfeife löst sich aus ihrer Verankerung und erschlägt den jungen Mann vor versammeltem Publikum. Moritz Eisner und sein neuer Vorgesetzter, Sektionschef Schremser, sind zur Stelle. Während Schremser von einem weiteren Anschlag auf den Bischof überzeugt ist, glaubt Eisner eher an einen Sabotageakt. Moritz Eisners Theorien geraten jedoch ins Wanken, als ein zweiter Musikstudent stirbt. Er hat sich aus der Kakaodose des Bischofs ein Getränk gebraut, das mit Gift versetzt war.
