Ein makabrer Schülerstreich endet tödlich. Nachdem Karim, Pascal und Enno ihrem toten Lehrer Dirk Rebmann im Beerdigungsinstitut ein Ringelschwänzchen zwischen die Pobacken geklemmt haben, um ihm so posthum ihre Verachtung zu zeigen, schläft der total betrunkene Enno auf einer Rollbahre ein. Seine Kumpels lassen ihn zurück, am nächsten Morgen ist der Junge tot. Erfroren in der Kühlkammer. Das ruft Hauptkommissar Jens Stellbrink und sein Team auf den Plan. Doch was zunächst wie ein Schülerstreich mit tödlichem Ausgang aussah, ist auf den zweiten Blick doch etwas komplizierter. Und als Stellbrink an der Leiche des toten Radprofis auch noch Symptome einer Vergiftung entdeckt, müssen sogar zwei Todesfälle aufgeklärt werden. Stellbrink und seine Kolleginnen Lisa Marx und Mia Emmrich ermitteln zunächst im Freundeskreis des toten Jungen und stoßen dabei auf einige problematische Vater-Sohn-Konstellationen und auf einen Sternekoch, der einiges zu verbergen hat.
