Murot - 11 - Murot und das Gesetz des Karma
Kommissar Murot wird an einer Hotelbar von einer jüngeren Frau in ein Gespräch verwickelt. Bei einem Glas Rotwein spielt Murot mit ihr, gibt sich gut gelaunt als Versicherungsvertreter aus. Am nächsten Morgen wacht er in seinem Hotelzimmer auf, ohne Brieftasche und ohne Erinnerung an die Geschehnisse.
Murot verheimlicht seiner Mitarbeiterin Wächter, dass er von einer Trickbetrügerin ausgeraubt wurde. Doch Wächter beobachtet ihn bereits argwöhnisch, denn in derselben Nacht wurde in dem Hotel ein hochrangiger IT-Experte ermordet aufgefunden. Es gibt den Verdacht, dass die Trickbetrügerin in den Mord und das Verschwinden eines brisanten Laptops verwickelt ist.
