America's Game and the Iran Hostage Crisis

On January 20, 1980, the Steelers and Rams take the field at the Rose Bowl for Super Bowl XIV. An enterprising L.A. reporter makes a long-distance telephone call from a Tehran hotel to a radio station engineer in Los Angeles. Over the phone, the reporter makes a crude audio cassette recording of Super Bowl XIV and plans how to smuggle this something precious, unexpected and valuable into the Tehran embassy hidden from the anti-American mob surrounding the building and into the hearts and minds of those who need it the most.
