Hoewel Jenny niet echt gelukkig is met Toms affiche, hangt Bianca die toch al op in het kapsalon. Het nieuws dat Neil is opgepakt verontrust zowel Bianca als Tom. Jenny kan haar dochter wel overtuigen dat zij niets meer te vrezen heeft. Bennie is er niet gerust in: Neil zou wel eens iets teveel kunnen zeggen. Daarom is het beter dat hij zich nog niet in The Square laat zien. Hij gaat dus niet werken, tot ontgoocheling van Rosa en Peggy. Tom probeert zijn kansen in te schatten. Hij praat er eerst over met Bennie, maar acht het dan toch beter om Walter in te lichten. Walter, die Tom voor is, stelt hem voor om nu naar de Ardennen te gaan. Ze zijn nog maar een uurtje de deur uit of Ann krijgt bezoek van de gerechtelijke politie.
