New Russian Law Considers Castrating All Child Abusers | Guest: Jon Miller | 1/28/22

Russia’s top female politician has called for consideration of castrating all child abusers. Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of the upper house of Parliament, was speaking after passing laws that jail repeat child sex attackers for life. Matviyenko told senators Russia should examine imposing chemical castration routinely for men convicted of child sex offenses, with her deputy going so far as to say physicl castration should be considered. Are these punishments too extreme or the proper punishment for such a heinous crime? During a recent episode of The View, Sonny Hostin said Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas doesn’t really represent the black community despite being one of two black men in the history of the court. If a black man doesn’t represent the black community, who does? We’re joined in-studio by Jon Miller, a political commentator.
