Villes moyennes et centres-villes : quand l’insécurité gagne du terrain
Alors qu’on la croyait réservée aux grandes agglomérations, l’insécurité se propage désormais aux villes moyennes mais aussi aux centres des petites villes, jusqu’ici épargnées. Durant un an, nous avons enquêté au cœur de communes récemment gagnées par la délinquance, notamment sous l’influence du trafic de drogue. Après avoir conquis les périphéries des grandes métropoles, celui-ci impose aujourd’hui sa loi un peu partout en France. On voit exploser le nombre de tentatives d’homicides (+12 % en un an) ainsi que les coups et blessures volontaires (+50 % depuis 2017). Ce climat d’insécurité empoisonne aujourd’hui la vie de millions de Français. Comment en est-on arrivé là et pourquoi les pouvoirs publics ont-ils autant de mal à endiguer le phénomène ?
