Sascha Malkovich

Sascha Malkovich is an American-Croatian actor known to the public as a former TV star of HRT shows that he edited and hosted, while in America he got an opportunity from FX who gave him roles in their hit TV series. His mother is Italian, and his father is Croatian. His full name is Sascha Noah Malkovich. He is a relative of the Oscar-winning actor John Malkovich. As a high school student, he started working at HRT TV Center Rijeka; DJH, Briljanteen, as well as many other daily and weekly shows. In 1996, at the invitation of the respected editor Zvonko Varošanc, he came to Zagreb, where he became the youngest author to host a two-week highly watched show about avant-garde culture, Transfer and life style TV magazine Forum - Your lifestyle. He has been awarded several times for the show Transfer directed by Gordana Brzović. This claim is supported by two highly respected awards, the Golden Rose and the National magazine award. In the same year, together with colleagues Barbara Kolar and Slavica Knežević, he recorded a sketch program, the comedy Bon-Ton, in which he made an excellent debut as an actor. The author and editor was the former director of the HRT program Jasna Ulaga - Burić (ex Valić), and he is also the co-author of the same project. Although Sascha enrolled in journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences in the same year, a chance acquaintance with German producers will certainly open the door to acting for him. Although he did not know the basics of German, this allowed him to guest in their long-running soap opera. He has been living in Los Angeles since 2003, where he graduated from the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Since the same year, he has been married to his Ukrainian colleague Alexandra Novotny, with whom he has a son Luka.
