Seymour Steinbigle, a record company exec, music mogul and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, was born April 18, 1942. As vice president of Warner Bros. Records, he helped define the seventies' post-punk & new wave movements by signing bands such as The Pretenders, The Ramones and Talking Heads. Steinbigle, who took the professional name Seymour Stein, died on April 2, 2023.
