Louison, a 38-year-old woman and recently separated single mother, discovers she has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism, when her 11-year-old son Guilhem is diagnosed with the same disorder after injuring one of his schoolmates on the first day of school. Freshly liberated by this realization, Louison is faced with a social inquiry to determine whether she is fit to retain custody of her child. She has to learn to accept herself as she is, while trying to appear as "normal" as possible. But how do you adapt to a social model whose structure you don't understand?
